Privacy Policy
What I collect, why, and your choices, in plain language.
In short: I collect only what I need to give you the free first set, run the programs, answer you and improve the sites. I never sell your information. Analytics and ad cookies run only as the cookie banner allows (where the law asks, only after you say yes), and you can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Anything you tell me about your health is optional, used only to tell you honestly whether a program fits, and kept private. You can ask me to see, correct or delete your information at any time: write to legal@samuelwexler.com. Si vives en México, el aviso de privacidad en español está al final (sección 12).
Effective November 2, 2026.
1. Who's responsible
Samuel Wexler, an individual based in Mexico City, Mexico, doing business as Yoga for Violinists (violin.yoga, yogaforviolinists.com), Yoga for Musicians (musicians.yoga) and Harmonious Reality. "I" and "me" in this policy mean me. For anything about your information, write to legal@samuelwexler.com. For a postal address for written notices, write to the same address.
2. What I collect, and why
When you visit the sites
- Basic technical data (your IP address, browser and device, the pages you visit and when): processed by Cloudflare, which hosts the sites and protects them from attacks, and counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.
- Your first visit, kept in your own browser for 30 days and sent along only if you sign up or apply: the campaign tags in the link you arrived by (UTM), the website you came from, and the first page you saw. It tells me which posts and ads actually help people.
- Cookies and similar technologies for analytics and ads: see section 5.
- Your choices (cookies, the currency for price estimates), remembered in your own browser.
- Prices in your currency: to show an estimate, the page asks my own server for today's exchange rates and the country your connection comes from. Neither is stored.
When you sign up for Day/Set 1, or for the musicians.yoga waitlist
- Your first name and email; the instrument you play (waitlist); the page you signed up on and your first visit (above); the country your connection comes from.
- Optional answers to three short questions (what you play, which describes you best, what gets in the way most), and how you heard about the course.
- Why: to send you the free set (or news for your instrument) and the emails that follow it, and to write about what matters to you. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click.
When you apply for Y4V Live, one-on-one or a scholarship
- Your answers: your name, email, location and time zone, your playing life, what you'd like to change, what you've tried, and your goals; for a scholarship, also your country, your story, and what you could pay.
- Health information, only if you choose to share it (an optional question about your body and health): used only to tell you honestly whether a program is a fit, and to prepare our call. It's never shared and never used for marketing.
- For a scholarship, the country your application is sent from, recorded next to the one you name, to keep the program fair.
- Why: to review your application, prepare our call, and decide on a scholarship. Applications aren't added to any email list.
When you buy, give a gift or sponsor a seat
- Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, my checkout partner and the seller of record. Dodo collects your payment details, billing address and tax information under its own privacy policy; I receive your name, email, what you bought, the amount, and your country, never your card number.
- A gift: your name and email, the recipient's name and email, your message and the date to send it. I use the recipient's details only to deliver the gift and to welcome them to the course.
- Invoices for Y4V Live and one-on-one: your name, email, and billing details you give me, kept for my tax records.
When you take a program
- The course platform (FreshLearn) holds your account, your progress through the sets, and anything you post there.
- Your agreement and your ratings: when you accept the Participation Agreement and rate the four dimensions for the guarantee, I keep your name, email, country, signature, the agreement's version, the time, and the ratings (collected with a form service, Tally, and a backup copy in my own spreadsheet). Your physical-comfort rating is about your body, so it's treated like health information: used only for the guarantee and, without your name, to improve the course.
- Live programs: what you share on calls and in the group space, the videos you send me for feedback, call recordings (shared only with the people in that program), and, for one-on-one, our session notes, your assessment and your practice log.
- Testimonials are published only with your permission.
When you ask for a refund, or write to me
- Your name, email, the program, your choice, and anything you tell me. Emails from the site's forms reach me through Cloudflare Email Routing and my Gmail inbox.
3. My legal reasons (for people in the EU, EEA and UK)
- Our contract: delivering the programs you bought or applied for, handling payments, refunds and support.
- Your consent: the free-set emails and the waitlist; analytics and ad cookies where the law asks for consent; health information you choose to share (your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- Legitimate interests: keeping the sites secure and free of spam (Cloudflare Turnstile), understanding which pages and posts help people (without cookies), and answering the messages you send. You can object at any time.
- Legal obligations: keeping tax and accounting records.
4. Who else handles it
I don't sell your information, and I share it only with the services that help me run the programs, each for its own job:
| Service | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, security, spam checks (Turnstile), cookieless analytics, the forms' database, email routing | Worldwide; the database is in North America |
| Kit (ConvertKit) | The free-set and waitlist emails | United States |
| Dodo Payments | Checkout, payments, taxes, receipts and refunds (seller of record) | India, the United States and others |
| FreshLearn | The course platform and your account | United States and India |
| Tally, Google (Gmail, Sheets) | The agreement and ratings forms; my email and records | Belgium (Tally); United States |
| Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google Analytics | Analytics and ads, only as your cookie choice allows | United States and others |
| The video-call, voice-message and private-podcast services for Y4V Live and one-on-one (each named in your welcome email) | Live calls, the voice channel, one-on-one recordings | As named in your welcome email |
| Klarna, Afterpay (if you pay over time) | Payment plans, under their own terms | Their own |
I may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. If I ever transfer the programs to a business I own or control, or to a successor that keeps them going, your information goes with them under this policy.
Transfers abroad. These services may process your information outside your country, including in the United States, India and Mexico. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5. Cookies, and your choice
- Essential (no consent needed): the spam check on forms (Cloudflare Turnstile), and your own choices kept in your browser.
- Analytics (Google Analytics): which pages people read, how far, and where they came from.
- Ads (the Meta Pixel): lets me show my ads to people who visited, and see which ads lead to sign-ups and purchases.
Where the law asks for consent first (the EU and EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Brazil, judged from your device's time zone), analytics and ad cookies load only after you choose Accept. Elsewhere they load when you arrive, and the banner says so, with one click to turn them off. Either way, Cookie settings at the bottom of every page lets you change your mind at any time.
For people in California and other US states with similar laws: using the Meta Pixel may count as "sharing" for cross-context advertising. You can opt out with Cookie settings, and I honor the Global Privacy Control signal where the law asks.
6. How long I keep it
- Free-set and waitlist sign-ups: while you're subscribed, then up to 2 years.
- Applications and scholarship applications: up to 2 years, unless you join a program.
- Purchases, invoices, refunds, and your accepted agreement: at least 7 years, for tax, legal and guarantee records.
- Live-call recordings: while the program and its follow-up last, then deleted. Your feedback videos: until a year after your program ends, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.
- Cookie data: as set by Google and Meta; Google Analytics keeps its detailed data for up to 14 months.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see the information I have about you, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how I use it, get a copy to take elsewhere, and withdraw any consent you gave (this doesn't undo what happened before). Write to legal@samuelwexler.com; I'll reply within 30 days, and sooner if I can. If you're unhappy with my answer, you can complain to your data protection authority: in the EU or EEA, the one where you live; in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in Mexico, the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno.
8. Keeping it safe
Your information is kept with the services above, each of which protects it with industry-standard security, and only I have access to it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever puts your information at risk, I'll tell you as the law requires.
9. Age
The programs are for adults, 18 and older. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you believe I have, write to me and I'll delete it.
10. Changes
When I update this policy, I'll post the new version here with its date, and if a change is meaningful, I'll let students and subscribers know by email.
